- Terminology: ON (Always ON), OFF (Always OFF), AUTO ON (Timer remains ON until the next OFF programmed setting) / AUTO OFF (Timer remains OFF until next programmed ON setting and turns OFF as per programmed OFF settings)
- AUTO OFF – Automatically turns the timer ON and OFF as per the programmed settings.
- While programming any function, 30 seconds of inactivity will exit all setting menu.

PRODUCT FEATURES
- The MTD8 is a 30A 16 On/Off Digital Programmable Timer that is easy-to-use, quick to set and will maximize your savings.
- When installing the MTD8 for the first time, press the reset button to activate the timer.
- The introduction of a timer will improve your energy savings up to 66%.
- Switching the geyser off/on manually is not good practice as circuit breakers are not designed to be switched often and will eventually damage which can be costly to replace.

Why don’t you supply a wiring diagram that shows the fitting of the device between the mains switch and the load (= pump or device).
The Major Tech MTB 8 30A programmable timer infront of me has only three poles,
The device I wish to replace (National Timeswitch TB178), however, has four.

Old wiring method is separate Live/Neutral to the operating relay contacts Common/Normally Open .
New wiring method is use the Live for power to the timer and to the common of the relay so just take the load side of appliance,geyser,light etc from the normally open.
