No decision with legal effect is taken about you solely by automated means (POPIA s 71).
4. Who we share it with (operators and third parties)
We share personal information only as needed, with providers bound by data-processing agreements:
- Payment processors: PayGate (DPO), Stripe, Zapper — to process your payment.
- Delivery partners and couriers — name, address, phone for delivery.
- Email & marketing: Microsoft 365 (business email), Mailchimp/Intuit (newsletters and shopping-related emails such as abandoned-cart reminders, if you opted in).
- Analytics: Google (Google Analytics), subject to your cookie choices.

We never sell your personal information.
5. Cross-border transfers (POPIA s 72)
Some providers above store data outside South Africa (mainly the United States and the EU). We only transfer personal information to providers bound by contracts and data-protection terms that provide substantially similar protection to POPIA.
6. How long we keep it (retention)

- Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or after prolonged inactivity.
- Credit application records: duration of the account plus statutory retention periods.
7. Security
We protect personal information with generally accepted safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), PCI-compliant payment processing, access controls and login-protected internal systems, least-privilege staff access, and secured private repositories. If a data breach is likely to cause you harm, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA s 22.
8. Your rights (POPIA ss 23–25, s 5)
You may at any time:
- Access the personal information we hold about you (see our PAIA Manual for the request process);
- Ask us to correct or delete information, or object to processing;
- Withdraw consent and opt out of direct marketing — every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or email us;
- Complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za · [email protected] · JD House, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg.
We respond to requests within a reasonable time and at most within the periods POPIA prescribes.
9. Direct marketing and the opt-out registry
We only send electronic marketing to people who have opted in, or to existing customers about similar products, and every message carries an unsubscribe option which we action immediately. We comply with the direct-marketing requirements of POPIA (s 69) and the Consumer Protection Act, including the national opt-out registry.
