ONLINE RETURNS POLICY

At Lite-Glo Electrical Wholesalers, we are confident in the quality of our products and services. However, we understand that circumstances may arise where a return is necessary. This Returns Policy outlines the conditions and procedures for returning items purchased online. We are committed to operating our business in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, and all policies are subject to the applicable law.


✅ 30-Day Exchange or Refund Policy

Customers may return goods for an exchange or refund within 30 days of the original purchase date, provided the following conditions are met:

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in a resalable condition.
  • Returns may be subject to a 20% handling fee.
  • Customers are responsible for all shipping costs and any associated expenses incurred by Lite-Glo.
  • A valid proof of purchase must be provided
  • Returns that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.

❌ Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable under any circumstances:

  • Cable sold per meter (cut-to-length)
  • Sprague Tubing sold per meter (cut-to-length)
  • Legrand Netatmo products not installed by an accredited Legrand installer
  • Solar products not installed by an accredited solar installer and/or without a valid Certificate of Compliance

📦 Damaged Goods (Transit Damage)

If you receive goods that are damaged during delivery, this must be reported to Lite-Glo within 24 hours of receiving the order.

You may either:

  • Return the item in person to our Randburg branch, or
  • Request a return via courier (we will arrange collection)

Note: If a third-party courier service was used for national delivery, an insurance claim will need to be lodged and approved before a refund or replacement can be processed. Refunds or replacements will only be issued once the claim has been resolved successfully.


🛠️ Warranty Claims (Defective Products)

If a product is defective due to a manufacturing fault and falls within the manufacturer’s warranty period, it may qualify for a warranty claim.

To be eligible:

  • The product must be within its warranty period (e.g. 6 months, 12 months, etc.)
  • The issue must not be caused by:
    • Incorrect installation

    • Misuse or negligence

    • External damage (e.g. power surges)

    • Normal wear and tear

  • A valid proof of purchase must be provided

Warranty Claim Process:

  1. Notify Lite-Glo via email within a reasonable timeframe

  2. Provide a description of the fault, your order number, and photos/videos if available

  3. Our team will assess the claim and request the product be returned for further evaluation

  4. If the claim is approved, we will arrange either a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances

⚠️ Return Responsibility:

  • Customers are responsible for delivering the product to our Randburg branch for inspection.
  • If a courier is used, all courier costs and logistics are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Lite-Glo will not reimburse any shipping, courier, or transport fees for warranty claims.

💳 Refund Process

Once a return or warranty claim is received, inspected, and approved, refunds will be processed using the original method of payment:

  • Credit Card
  • EFT
  • Contractor Account (credited accordingly)

No alternative refund methods will be offered.
